Assist. Prof. Sokol Dervishi and Dr. Frida Pashako participated in the V International Meeting of Architecture in Parabita (Lecce), Italy.

On 21 and 22 September the Association Domus Petrae A.R.T.I.S. in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Bari – Department of Sciences of Civil Engineering and Architecture organized the V International Meeting of Architecture on "Comparing International experiences: knowledge and enhancement of Albanian architectural heritage”
The meeting was opened by Senator Dario Stefano of the Italian Parliament and promoter of the Italian-Albanian relations. He emphasized the importance of cultural heritage for the development of cultural tourism, and encouraged the further development of inter-university relations with Albania.
The Albanian side was introduced by Ambassador of Albania to Italy Neritan Ceka, who after thanking the Polytechnic of Bari for the long-term collaboration with the Albanian Universities and the interesting studies on Albania has passed to his role archaeologist introducing the theme of stone quarries in antiquity.
In the session dedicated to Albania took turns in the Italian academic exposure of the Polytechnic of Bari and academic specialists and Albanians. For the enhancement and restoration of archeology has exposed Albanian Luan Perzhita, director of the Institute of Archaeology of Albania. Prof. Anna Bruna Menghini presented the work carried out in the Departments of Architecture Bari to Albania from 2006 to today. Prof. Roberta Belli presented two museum exhibition projects for the archaeological museum of Durres and Tirana. Moreover Dr. Frida Pashako presented the environmental, urban and architectural values of the city of Berat. On the same topic has pronounced the Director of the Department of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Tirana Prof. Florian Nepravishta, who presented a inter-University project on the revitalization of the bazar of Korça.
The session was closed by Prof. Sokol Dervishi, Director of the Department of Architecture of Epoka University with a study on energy efficiency in the traditional architectures of Albanian. 
The moderator of the session Prof. Claudio D'Amato, Director of the Department of Architecture of Bari, expressed enthusiastic about the meeting and invited to collaborate in the future for defense and promotion of Albanian heritage.
