Assoc. Prof. Dervishi successfully leads the workshop at Özyeğin University

Assoc. Prof. Sokol Dervishi, Head of the Architecture Department at Epoka University was an invited lecturer at one of our prestigious partners Özyeğin University - Faculty of Architecture and Design, in Istanbul Turkey. Professor Dervishi successfully delivered the workshop “Incorporating Computational Simulation Modeling in the design strategies in Architecture and Urban Design”, in between April 08-11, 2015.
The aim of the workshop was to explore the simulation software in the analysis and optimization of the high performance building and systems. As such, the software allows architects and engineers to test, evaluate and respond to a variety of strategies. Using simulation software, design professionals have the possibility to continuously study and predict how decisions will impact the performance of the building from the early phases of design without significant investment in mockups or manual calculations. The said workshop raised the interest of many academicians working in the same research area as well as students of Özyeğin University.
The Faculty of Architecture and Design (FAD) at Özyeğin University and the Department of Architecture, at the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering of Epoka University joined in a bilateral agreement on December 17, 2013, which envisages collaboration opportunities even in  other areas of mutual interest, such as mobility of students and staff, joint research activities, participation in seminars and academic meetings; co-organization of short-term training programs; exchange of published academic materials and other information; and special short-term academic programs.
Özyeğin University is very well ranked, among the top 100 universities around the world and both parties are proactively seeking to enhance their collaboration capability and the materialization of the abovementioned agreement.
