Landscape strategies for Informal Settlements: Introducing Agro-puncture as catalyst to shape the urban form. The case of Kėneta, Albania.

The participation in the event / workshop was the outcome of a pier-review process of  the paper proposal. Our project  "DAM-LAKEFRONT PLAZA: Revitalisation of an Agriculture Reservoir Dam in Kashar-Tirana/Albania" was selected as one among three excellent proposals.

Valbona Koci, lecturer in Architecture Department at EPOKA University, and Phd student in Architecture / Urbanism programme in G.d'Annunzio University, Italy, participated in CUI '13 Conference organized by DAKAM (Eastern Mediterranean Academic Research Center). The event was hosted by I.U (Istanbul University), in November 4-6, 2013.  The theme of the conference was "Informality: Rethinking the Urban"
 
The International Contemporary Urban Issues Conference ​was aiming at fostering discussions of theory and research on urban issues by DAKAM (Eastern Mediterranean Academic Research Center). Focusing on a multidimensional urban phenomenon, this international conference aimed to deepen the understanding of informality by opening it to discussion with contributions from various disciplines like architecture, urban planning, sociology, history, economy and anthropology.
 
The title of the presentation / paper presented by V.Koci​ is " Landscape strategies for Informal Settlements: Introducing Agro-puncture as catalyst to shape the urban form. The case of Këneta, Albania ​".
