Workshop with Primary School Children

June 11th, 2014

ArkiSpace club recent activity is a workshop with children about the concept of the future schools. Children coming from coming from MIST – Memorial International School in Tirana were of the second grade.

The main idea of the workshops has been to ask: What would children do, if they had a chance to design a school building?

One day workshop started with a brainstorming of what is the school for, so that the children would start thinking about the possible activities and the spaces where they are performed. Students worked independently with the design tasks given. They drew layouts, projections, perspective images and sections according to their own interests and purposes. Results were as fruitful as surprising.
